St. James's Park Room

Our ST. JAMES’S PARK, is a generous 21’x 16’ room. It has a Royal theme since this park in London is across from the Royal residence Buckingham Palace. You will feel like Royalty in the king size bed. It’s a four-poster, cherry rice style with an opulently draped, custom made “half tester” canopy.

Original period details in this room include an original quarter sawn oak corner mantel with freestanding columns and a working fireplace and restored original brass ceiling light and wall sconce.

You’ll want to sit and write postcards to your friends on the elegant Queen Anne style mahogany desk and antique chair. Other furnishings include an oversize wingback chair, an antique mahogany chest, an antique mahogany night table and a Bristol lamp.

The color scheme includes coordinated gold and deep green fabrics used in the custom- made drapes and bed linens. William Morris style Axminster carpets and wallpaper borders and sponged walls further the color statement.

Relax in the beautifully appointed marble bath featuring a state-of the-art Sanijet pipeless double whirlpool tub and shower, a British towel warmer, marble tub surround, Swarovski crystal sconces and chandelier.

And, for a dash of the modern, a 32" widescreen LCD TV hangs above the fireplace.

The views from this room include the formal gardens at the south side of the house and the Lower Garden in the rear of the house.
